What is a Concrete Roof Tile?
A concrete tile is typically produced from a mixture of cement, sand, and water. Often referred to as a 'Flat Roof Tile', they are available in a range of styles to suit your property.
They have been used on properties throughout Europe for centuries, largely due to their durability. Whilst they have remained virtually unchanged, many now feature an interlocking design.
As with most tiles, concrete roof tiles are only suitable for pitched roofs. This is as capillary action may occur on a low pitched roof and water ingress may follow.
How Much Do These Tiles Weigh?
These roof tiles can weigh as much as 75kg per square meter. Although this is largely dependent upon the individual tile and headlap being used.
Concrete tiles are, therefore, amongst the heaviest roofing materials. Especially when compared to synthetic alternatives, which weigh as little as 7kg per square meter.
What is the Coverage of These Tiles?
The amount of coverage provided by these roof tiles is dependent upon your pitch. This is as you will need to alter your headlap accordingly, which ultimately reduces the amount of coverage provided by each tile.

Will My Roof Tiles Be Damaged in Transport?
Whilst metal or plastic roof tiles don't typically withstand damage during transportation, concrete roof tiles may. We always recommend that you order slightly more tiles than you require. In some circumstances, between 5% - 10% of your roof tiles could chip or crack during delivery.
How Long Do Concrete Roof Tiles Last?
Concrete roof tiles can be expected to last up to 50 years before needing major repairs or replacement.
This is thanks to the incredible strength of concrete, as well as continued development in the design and manufacturing of concrete tiles.
